Launch of TFL ECO Guidelines
With the TFL ECO Guidelines TFL launched in 2008 the first of a series of booklets with solutions for a leather manufacturing process with less impact on the environment.
Environmentally compatible tanning will be a competitive factor in the future. This requires many tanneries and supply industries to have a better understanding of the whole ecological process of leather manufacturing from the beginning to the end.
The TFL ECO Guidelines are a set of practical booklets, providing valuable information on important topics of ecology in leather manufacturing. The first edition features solutions for the reduction of COD/BOD in tannery waste water. The next edition is planned for release in spring 2009.
