Whenever articles have to be made where full penetration of retanning agents, fatliquors and dyestuffs is requested without reducing the grain tightness, then MAGNOPAL DP can be used. The addition of MAGNOPAL DP increases the fullness and does not change the softness. This benefit can help to produce water repellent and water proofed leather articles with substances from 2.0 mm or more, where firmness, fullness and roundness are required.
To obtain the optimum results MAGNOPAL DP can be added before the retanning, dyeing and fatliquoring steps. Also mixed together with fatliquoring agents MAGNOPAL DP reduces the risk of precipitation and gives additional fullness and elasticity to the grain.
In combination with SELLASOL KM liq., MAGNOPAL DP can be also used as neutralisation aid for sensitive raw materials like Brazilian Zebu and Russian cow hides.
In certain cases the use of sodium bicarbonate is no longer necessary and the amount of sodium formate can be reduced. This can be an advantage, especially if the salt loads in the leather and / or effluent have a negative influence (e.g. water proofed upper leather).
MAGNOPAL DP improves the dyeability by levelling and dispersing the retanning and fatliquoring agents. This can minimise the use of other dyeing auxiliaries.
