Delime and bating

For consistent and safe bating with optimised grain formation use only bates from supply houses well experienced in this field - OROPON (ROHAPON in America, New Zealand, Australia, Japan and Philippines) range of bating agents.

Delime and bate together or delime and bate separately? Deliming to a fixed point and then bating after temperature adjustment is the best way of conducting this process but for practical purposes many tanners add the bate after a short time in main delime float. This is acceptable once a process has been proven and the same parameters are kept each time.
