TFL has released its new TFL Colour Trends Catalogue for the season Spring Summer 2025. In the catalogue, TFL presents the colour trends for leather garment, footwear, accessories and additionally for the upholstery industry.

It is TFL's company policy to put emphasis on the development of products which contribute to a CO2 reduction by replacing mineral oil based raw materials with raw materials, whichare derived from plants and thus contributing to a better CO2 footprint and with less impact onthe environment and the climate. For products with a bio content of a minimum of 50%, based on solids, TFL is adding the term Pure to product names.

Because of the ongoing weak development of the leather- and leather chemicals market in 2023 TFL is looking at its competitive framework and is reorganizing its production in central Europe. Consequently, TFL is planning to cease production at the plant (syntan plant) in Leverkusen, Germany, by end of 2023.

After over 8 years as TFL Group CFO, Richard Fenton, has decided that for personal and career reasons he would like to leave the TFL Group. The Board and Executive would like to thank Richard for his excellent contribution to TFL since joining in 2015 and wish him well in his future endeavours.

Sellasol Pure D is a biobased auxiliary with a pronounced dispersing effect designed to be combined with other "Pure Range" products for "low environmental impact". It contains 80% _biobased organic materials, thus making a major contribution towards leather sustainability over traditional products. With very low astringency, it gives an excellent smooth and fine grain and outstanding dyeability when applied prior to the dye. It can be added before or together with vegetable extracts and anionic retanning agents. Application amounts are typically 1-4% (on shaved weight).
